more work

Just a few more pieces that have come out of the kiln in the last month.

Two mugs... made 5 total, but 2 photograph better

'Roots'

Shino and Black glazed tumbler

Not sure what to call this one... and not sure what I feel about it.
I think I like it, but I'm not sure.

Faceted vase

Small Bowl with very colorful glaze... not sure I care for the glaze...
it's pretty, but not me I think

'Cells'

'Flagella'

Bowl with carved circles
looks like a chocolate chip cookie to me in this photo...

Some functional, some sculptural, some in between.... let me know what you think.

omgosh beautiful. the one titled 'cells' is particularly a favorite. i am quite enjoying how you are taking one organic material and describing another... also i can think of something to do with the small bowl whose glaze isn't quite you. :D

I LOVE them! ...And, it's so nice to hear from you again. I was getting worried! Since I am your sister, I think I should get first dibs on that one with the glaze you're not sure about --- purple is my signature color!

Good to hear from you blog-wise again. I really liked the Roots & the Faceted Vase is really striking...and I couldn't help but like the chocolate chip cookie mug! Off the cuff thought about the one you couldn't make up your mind about -- it looked like the bottom of my foot. You could call it "Plantar's_Art"! (Sorry, Bob; my humor is chronically 5th grade)

First of all, that 'chocolate chip' one is rather big for a coffee mug... its more like a bowl, but I do know your coffee consumption!
as for the other one, aside from saying gross, I won't dignify that with a response.... and buy some wart remover!

I love them all! Dad sort of ruined it by calling that one "warts" but I love the color on the bottom of that one so it has a redeeming characteristic. I hope that by having such great variety you'll be able to sell some at your show. Is that in the fall? I like the "cells" best I think. Is the faceted vase thrown? MOM
