saddness in my heart

I just heard about this. It makes me sad.
I know his work was kinda out there, but it was very influential and new and interesting.
And I got to install the Rauschenberg show that came to Calvin's gallery. So I guess there's a little extra connection there.

I heard about it on NPR yesterday. I hadn't realized all the different and innovative work that he did. Dad was more cryptic - he said "What are they going to do with all his junk on Captiva?" Sorry, I don't remember any "junk" but I guess dad does.

crazy how legends can die of heart failure.

What I do remember is that his house was surrounded by an eclectic collection of "stuff." I guess that sounds better.

I thought of you when I heard that -- remember when I saw that kinda weird play last year about him and his life? He was one disturbed dude, but those shadow boxes were quite interesting!

By the way, are you REALLY sad? Like some people are really hoTT? If you're going to check my spelling, I'll check yours! :) It's been bothering me for a while now!
